Mom & Me & Mom by Maya Angelou
4.0

This was the last of Maya Angelou’s memoirs and it had a big focus on her relationship with her mother, Vivian Baxter. Most of the stories in this book were told in her other books; however, she tied in her mother’s influence on particular events in her life to add detail that we may not have read about in prior books. Her mother lived a fascinating life as well so it was interesting to read more about her and the impact she had on Maya’s life and success.

I am so glad I decided to read/listen to all of Maya’s memoirs. She was such a unique lady who lived an amazing and eventful life.
