King of Greed by Ana Huang
emotional
slow-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? No
- Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes
3.0
It was a pretty mid book. I feel like it had potiential especially in the first half but I missed the real confrontation and caracter development. Or I should say that it was there on paper but I needed more from the execution to really believe it.
One thing I really don't like in Ana Huang books is that they try to do too much and end up not doing enough which often leaves me dissatisfied after finishing one of her novels. I couldn't give less fucks about Dominic's work life other than the part that directly effected his relationship with Alessandra and yet I had to endure finance bro talk in most of his chapters...
The audiobook version was better than King Of Pride, I really liked the voice actors in this one!
