I really enjoyed this book. There was more excitement, some surprises, and Setrákus Ra was an interesting charscter to get to know.
My only complaint is something one of the characters said. Why can't their inheritances be put in backpacks? Their chests almost cause more trouble than they're worth.
Nine is a bit too harsh, although he does provide some interesting action with his powers. But, the fight between him and John over where to go next was a bit too much testosterone-based for my liking, although I guess young audiences might find it fun.
Hopefully, Sam will be more involved in the last book, I've missed his quirky character, his human element in this story.
