wow what a story. my heart is 💔😢. finished in 2 days, with the majority spent reading late at night finishing it. felt like a tornado built up at the story’s climax. reminds me of the war crimes happening in Occupied Palestine, the horrors and losses made me cry. why is the world so cruel for people simply trying to live just like you. fuck colonialism
i loved all of the characters’ stories and how they all connect at the end and the mystery. themes of friendship, grief, war, colonialism, romance, womanhood…
the gruesome scenes were a bit hard to stomach at times.i cried when Freddie died and they sang the song 😠so so sad. similarly with Jasmin and Yuki
the cover reviews weren’t kidding about this probably staying with you for awhile
