Slightly confusing at times, with dual timelines and lots of seemingly unconnected characters.

A young boy is sick and whilst we start off not knowing the details, we do know he needs help from an as yet untraced family member.

A generation earlier a group of friends and neighbours take a day trip to the coast that ends in tragedy.

These books are an OK read, there is never any real surprise or twist and the writing is quite lightweight but an easy way to spend a few hours
