MIND. BLOWN!! That's what happens when you think you know what's going on and then you read this book. It was unexpectedly brilliant. It made me feel a range of emotions: elation, excitement, amusement, apprehension, saddness. It had everything.

There was a clear father/son theme in this book that i absolutely loved. I loved the main couple so much despite the fact that i wasn't interested in the characters previously. I loved seeing favorite characters from previous books. Though it hurts, i also love that characters issues don't get magically resolved just because they found their mates (oh Tal!). The universe expands so much in this book. I got immediately attached to the new characters and

then was devastated when something awful happened to them. I felt so sorry for Ishtar's father. That poor guy never had a chance. I wonder if we will ever meet the other daughter. I want to know more about Goya (i wanted to punch somebody on his behalf), Rhys and Ramses. I'm conflicted about the Creature.
