A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

5.0

This is quite a short read, but . . . oof. Does it pack a punch.

There's not much to say here, other than the artwork is wonderful and the story is important. I ugly cried my way through the last 30 minutes it took to read, and I regret nothing.

I'd definitely add this to my short list of books that aren't considered "classics" that I think everyone should read at least once.
