Misery by Stephen King

4.0

Misery was the third book I read by Stephen King, after Carrie and On Writing. It's scary but not things-jumping-out-at-you scary, more of a slow realization of a deep psychological horror as you realize just how creepy Annie is and what she's capable of.
I really enjoyed reading the book and read it within a few days because I was so hooked. It was interesting to read after On Writing to hear what other ideas King had for the ending though I would have preferred reading it before On Writing so other parts of the story weren't ruined by spoilers.
Definitely recommend Misery for people who like thrillers/horror or books with a psychological edge.
