Struggling with personal turmoil, actress Casey Fletcher heads to her family’s house on secluded Lake Greene in Vermont. But when she starts watching the couple in the house across the lake, she just might see more than she bargained for…

This book is bonkers. That’s it, that’s the review.

Kidding. But sort of not, because there isn’t a TON I can say about this book without spoilers and I definitely hope everyone who wants to read this one avoids spoilers and gets to go in fairly blind. I am rarely surprised by a plot twist anymore (perils of being a constant thriller reader) but I saw *nothing* coming in this one. The writing was also fun and fast, and the characters were entertaining. In short, an excellent summery thriller, especially if you want your brain to hurt slightly by the last page from trying to figure out what on earth was going on.

Recommended to anyone, but especially if you like: summer vacation thrillers; unreliable-ish narrator trope; Rear Window vibes.

CW: Alcoholism; murder/death; drowning/discussions of drowning; discussions and depictions of suicide attempts/suicide.
