Persephone by Kaitlin Bevis

3.0

The story of Persephone and Hades is a personal favorite for me, and at times the book read like a fan-fiction story, which I suppose in a sense it is, but I still enjoyed it. The author did a surprising amount of research which she incorporated into the story. The faithfulness to original mythology is something that I really appreciate, despite the modern setting of the story. There were some plot holes and leaps of faith that had to be made, but overall it was very enjoyable and a quick read. Easily finished over the course of a long weekend, or maybe less.
