Fate of Perfection by K.F. Breene

3.0

I really liked the concept, and the whole idea behind the book, but everything seemed to be lacking otherwise. The dialogue was atrocious, and the rapport between Millicent and Ryker was bordering on misogynistic.

I was glad I finished, and the ending set up the next book nicely, but a revelation about one of the "conglomerates" at the third act didn't have the emotional punch it tried to give. Why should I care about the real big bad if there wasn't any set up to begin with? Won't be continuing with the series

2.5 stars, though I can't do that on Goodreads
