I've never read a book with an aro-ace protagonist before, so it was interesting to experience that, especially coming from (I believe?) an aro-ace author.

After a while, I did start getting frustrated that Georgia was so melodramatic about forcing herself to try things even when she hated them.... But I guess that's me reading a YA book at 29 years old instead of a teenager dealing with peer pressure.

I did find the university experience SO relatable and well written though, especially the overwhelming feeling of Freshers, societies, bar crawls, pressure to Have Fun. And the final chapter reminded me so, so much of my 2nd year house and the lovely friends I lived with.

I also actually really loved the character of Rooney - at first she felt like she was being set up as a typical popular mean girl, but she actually turns out to be very sweet and understanding, and goes through her own whole journey throughout the book (although it felt somewhat rushed, but I guess that's what happens when you're essentially a secondary character...)

Overall I thought the book was sweet, and I read it pretty easily, but didn't overly love it.
