ellenmrozek 's review for:
We Are the Wildcats
by Siobhan Vivian
WE ARE THE WILDCATS is full of so many things I love in fiction: intense, complex, but ultimately supportive female friendships, a shared mission, and the backdrop of sports. What made this story really shine for me was the gradual unveiling of just how toxic the girls' beloved coach was, and the ways in which they came together in spite of and not because of him. This was the girl power read I needed, and a reminder of why I enjoy Siobhan Vivian's books so much.
