House Rules by Jodi Picoult
4.0

Highly recommend this excellent book, in Jodi Picoult's usual well-written, well-researched and thoughtful prose. The book is engaging and fast-paced, and the story is told through the eyes of some truly interesting characters, especially Jacob, an eighteen year-old young man with Asperger's Syndrome, which is a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum. As mom to two very different children with autism, I cannot say enough about the true-to-life way that Picoult has captured much of the challenges, joys, and perspective of families who live with Autism day in and day out. This is a novel that made me laugh and cry and kept me guessing. I couldn't put it down. If you're wondering what to read next, read this!
