Like...it wasn't a good time, but it also...wasn't entirely a bad time? Obviously major content warnings based on the summary alone, but tbh the rape didn't bother me as much as literally everything that came after and the hero did not even come close to improving. Where was the groveling?? At least 50% of the book should have been Warrick on his knees, Rowena did not deserve literally any of what she got, and then there was no justice for the ACTUAL VILLAIN?? There were parts of this that were enjoyable but not enough to make me read it again, but also I'll never forget it. I couldn't put it down because once I started I HAD to know what was going to happen. Truly a bizarre reading experience.
