Dark Harvest
by Norman Partridge
Started out ready to give this one 3 stars, but I’m giving it 4 because it’s one hell of a fun ride and I can’t remember why I was considering 3. It’s short and sweet, easy to get through in a few days but what makes it so easy is that it’s a page turner. Very cinematic, action and horror packed. It reads like some of the best classic horror movies and slashers, it starts and dives right into the gory good stuff because there’s a tight budget. My one critique may be that if it were a bit longer I would have loved to leave the mystery of the October Boy burn a bit more, let him be creepier longer.
