Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins

If you enjoy snide, sassy comments of young adults mixed in with knock-off characters from any popular tv show or book who have all been sent to a reformatory for "doing magic in front of humans and risking exposure," than this book may be for you.

Plus, there's a similar romantic vibe to Twilight with A LOT less yucky, cheesy stuff. You know: her crush is the bad boy (duh), and she is just the normal with "small breasts" girl. The popular b... witchy girls want her to join their witch coven but of course she isn't about that life. She rather hang out with a vampire (but everyone knows vampires can't be trusted).

The story line goes on as your typical the-main-character-is-clueless-of-this-fantasy-world-she-has-never-been-apart-of-until-now kinda thing going on. So she's always last to find out.

The ending has some good moments of like "what just happened??". Fairly good twists for a book like this. Nothing new or surprising. There are pretty good quotes though that made me chuckle. Also, the author references Stephen King's "Carrie" in the beginning, and I very much approve that part.

You are warned: If you are a logical or technical reader, many of the things that happen in this book may make you scream a bit at the characters. Another words, some parts are unrealistic. But, just remember this isn't high-qualify and it's a young adult Twilight knock-off.
