This is not the kind of novels you can write a review for, I think. It is uncomfortable in all the best way possible. Something about literary horror books written by East Asian authors always gives me a deeper, more haunted, feeling about the loneliness that has become an innate part of our society. Han Kang takes that and spins it into a story just shy of 200 pages, about the growing lack of autonomy from a body, so violent and tragic that it transforms into the loneliness that has become an innate of a self.
