Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor

Did not finish book.
Not my cup of tea.
—No one is supposed to interfere in history, but readers are clearly meant to judge characters on whether or not they help people in the past. (“You don’t leave blind men struggling in the mud.“) How do you work as a nurse in a World War 1 field hospital without affecting the future?
—If the most important thing is the camera recordings, why don’t they just send unmanned cameras back in time to observe?
—The main character was unbearably smug.
—The entire cast, in 21st century Britain, reads as all white. So it’s a good thing they never need to investigate anything in history that doesn’t feature white people. Yikes.
