Truce by R.L. Mathewson

Another perfect Neighbor from Hell novel. I have always loved this series and know I’m going to get a really great story whenever I pick up the book. This isn’t just about the lovable characters or plot, but the fact that these stories always make me laugh. Without a doubt, each story always makes me laugh and I love it.

Starting with the characters, let’s just say where can I find my own Bradford? First I loved Jason, and then Trevor. Connor (although he isn’t a Bradford), and now add in Robert and I just want to find my own. They are funny and silly but they all have big hearts. When reading, it really feels as if you’re there experiencing it. There’s always something that gives the guys away as more than typical guys. The way that they care about the women without realizing it makes the stories that much better. That’s when it’s the real deal. Even though Robert & Elizabeth had their issues when they were younger, it was clear that he really cared for her despite the things he said or did.

And now, the women are just perfect. They are all so spunky and fun. Haley, Zoe, Rory and now Elizabeth. They are the perfect matches to the guys and help make each story what it is. Elizabeth was great and I enjoyed the banter and fun between her and Robert.

The way that RL Mathewson writes always has me glued to the book and wanting to finish the book but at the same time, have it never-ending. I just love the way the plot runs so smoothly and it makes me fall in the love with that story and characters. Having this book be historic and give the backstory to the Bradford family was just perfect and I love that it was set in London. I loved that they went from childhood enemies to the perfect pair. I always have a sweet spot for those types of stories. Having it tie into Jason & Haley’s anniversary was great because there was more Jason, Haley, Trevor and Jared in it. Definitely another favorite and I want to re-read the first three again before moving on to The Game Plan
