The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy: by A.N. Roquelaure

3.0

This books series is unique in it's content. As a reader I will endeavor to give my thoughts on the series based on how I felt when I read the books. One thing I will note is that I am a life long fan of Anne's work. In many ways I would call her a pioneer within her genres in fiction. Now, let's get into the nitty gritty shall we?

I love a good twist on fairy tales. Something about the unique perspective of a writer is fascinating to me, but I would say that this series is probably the most twisted one that I have read. Anne creates a fantasy underground world that feeds on carnal desires and it is immersive from the very beginning to the end in Anne's usual fashion of sensational delights.

This series is not meant for young readers, but is a delight to its adult audience.
