After a sleep, this is probably a generous rating. I did find it easy to pick up during those times when I tend to need something light, but ultimately, it felt weird and silly. The main POV character, Perla, wasn't as smart or appealing as someone in her situation would need to be. There were weird things that should have been caught by an editor. For example a character eating one thing at the beginning of a paragraph and a few lines later, eating a totally different thing.
Twists aren't that important to me, so I didn't mind that they were easy to spot. I'd rather this sort of plot twists than something weird just to 'shock' the reader. However, overall, this didn't make up for what was wrong with this book
