Oh dear. I've wait too long to review this. I've forgotten most of the book because, once again, this was pretty well a filler novel. However, that being said, it was way better than Burned. But I still had to dry swallow the bitch down.

At least Mac was more tolerable (if only slightly) since she wasn't so passive. Praise the day. However, that being said, her story was pretty well resolved three books ago. We literally did not need more of her except for being a background character. But noooo, KMM needs to scrape the bottom of the barrel to get more.

And again, we still have a billion and one POVs. Let's not do that. You get 4, no 5 POVs. There, I spoiled you. When you have that many, all you are asking for is me to start skimming. And don't make me do it because I bloody will.

The main good thing is we got to see more Ryodan as well as Jada. We actually even got some interacting between the two. I'm very happy with a glimpse into Jada's mind so we can sorta see how she went from superhero Dani to cold and controlled Jada. It gave me hope that we might get some actually Dani in the next book. I mean.. we fucking better.
However, the one huge redeemer for this book happened at the very end, of course. Because nobody would have kept reading her fillers if she didn't give us something. So don't read this spoiler if you want to actually get something out of this damn book! You have been warned!

And of course the book had to end on some dramatic ass Mac. She's always got to make it about her. Oh well, at least the story is kinda looking up. But I'm still cynical of this damn series so I'm trying not to think about the next book.

She didn't spend the entire novel invisible and being a god damn creepy voyeur.Spoiler
How freakin' cliche is it that they brought back her sister? And it wasn't a surprise KMM, we knew the whole time. Everyone and their blind grandma saw it coming.

I knew there was something wrong with Shazam but I was fooled. It turned out to be Jada/Dani all along. And the fact that Ryodan was there and so torn up over it made it even better. Dat angst hurt so good! But I kind of wish KMM hadn't gone and switched it and made him an actual character after. I liked the idea that Dani had completely made him up. The condition of that room! Awww man. Such a good scene.
