So, I originally picked this up because 1. Michael Cisco was in it and 2. the cover looked fucking SICK. Wasn't quite familiar with Laird Barron's universe prior to reading, which ended up being perfectly okay since the stories work very good standalone.

I had a pretty pleasant time reading these stories over the course of a week. Some of them were a bit confusing; I assume if I had more prior world knowledge this wouldn't have been an issue at all. My favorites were:
Walpurgisnacht – Orrin Grey - (Okay, I'm a sucker for Faust references.)
Good Lord, Show Me the Way – Molly Tanzer (Really, really, interesting storytelling format. I loved the email exchanges.)
Love Songs from the Hydrogen Jukebox – T.E. Grau
Of a Thousand Cuts – Cody Goodfellow

Another thing I'd like to add is that I found it a breath of fresh air reading these when it came to the characters inside them. Lots of uniqueness there.
