Birthday is three short stories. The first, Coffin in the Sky, is about Mai Takano death from the Spiral novel.  The second story is, Lemon Heart about Sadako's time in the theatre troupe. Sadako is an important character in the Ring trilogy. Lastly, is Happy Birthday about Reiko Sugiura from Loop novel. Each story has a unique perspective on birth and rebirth.
