I'm literally obsessed with this series. Every single book in this universe is absolute perfection and has the most lovable cast of characters that you can't help but fall head over heels for.
Lacey and Shawn are best friends and have been for the last couple of years, but all of that changes when Lacey is put front and center on the kiss cam with no one willing to kiss her. So what does her best friend and head coach of the NFL team currently playing on the field do? He kisses her. In front of thousands of fans in attendance and millions online.
Deciding to use the sudden attention to their advantage, they decide to fake date for the holiday season, but when the feelings they've both been oblivious to for years start to rise to the surface things become a bit more complicated.
Honestly, these two care so deeply for one another, and it's absolutely beautiful. Lacey is so supportive of Shawn; she knows he has so much weight on his shoulders, and she is constantly there to help take some of the burden, becoming another one of his safe places.
And Shawn is genuinely just one of the best men to ever exist. He is unbelievably selfless and lives to make the world a better place and to take care of those that he loves. Not to mention, his love language is gift giving, so you best believe he gives his Lacey girl some of the sweetest, most heartfelt gifts ever.
I really am completely enamored by this universe. I never want to leave, and I'm SO excited that Maven's book is next. I can't wait to read her all grown up and getting her own HEA 💙
