i honestly didn’t think i would love lupin’s character so much but god knows i do. he is so well written, like he has so much charisma but he is also multilayered. obviously with this being a short story collection, i didn’t love all them, some stuck with me more than others but i particularly loved the first and last one, as well as the one titled la perle noire. i really enjoyed discovering the original material for the miyazaki animated film.
