I Remember Beirut
by Zeina Abirached
I love the artwork and the idea behind this work of graphic non-fiction. Told solely from the limited point of view of a child/preteen in West Beirut during their civil war, the author also gives some background information on the area and the time to give readers perspective. My only complaint is that the ending is abrupt; I would have liked more information on the family after the war ended.
