As Amelia says in her four pages of warning: THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART AND READS THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!
That being said, I was a few chapters in when I realized it was a Lucifer-ish retelling. I have no idea if it was meant to be that way, but that’s my personal opinion of this story/series. I feel like there was some plot holes at some points regarding Merikh and just in general I was confused in the timeline of events at times. Still to be determined if it’s cleared up it book 2 or not. I also felt like smut wise, it wasn’t the best. It was good but not wow.
