Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

4.0

okay. i was really really fucking with this book until i wasn’t. the ending has me fucked. i get that it’s setting up for its sequel but it actually just made me so fucking furious 😭😭 after all that?? anyways i really enjoy bardugo’s writing in this, it’s significantly better than the geisha verse and im glad i gave it a try. bc the grishaverse was so horrendous i never wanted to read bardugo’s writing again. i love inej and nina duh, kaz is a little pissant and wylan is fine. jesper is solid too. i wish wtv is btwn wylan and jesper was fleshed out better because the way it was written just made me mad. i’m literally getting angry thinking about it. but it made me kick my feet and giggle and even though the plot itself was weirdly paced and the povs got … interesting, i really enjoyed it! i’ll read the next one after  nettle and bone . i wish i would have read this when i was younger, it would have absolutely changed my life. i forgot how much i love a good heist plot honestly, just made me feel like a little kid watching sherlock again! i’m glad inej has self respect. also why did they keep calling nina round. idk what that means??? also the whole inej and kaz thing was so strange bc wdym you went from feeling disgust when she touched you to calling her my girl?? like what. he’s very archetypal and it can be frustrating. anyways solid book thanks yashvi and thanks jacq!
