The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 8 by Kousuke Oono

3.5

Summary:

Once upon a time, a man named Tatsu was a fierce member of the Yakuza. He was known as the Immortal Dragon and infamous for everything he did – and survived. But that was years ago. Now he's a househusband and quite dedicated to the job.

Enter the househusband! He walked away from a life of danger and violence. Now, he fights a new type of battle against dust and messes. All while mastering the art of cooking and shopping.

Review:

It's time for more Yakuza, ahem, I mean househusband antics! I really adore The Way of the Househusband, and thus, I was looking forward to the next volume. I know I'm reaching the end of my binge, but I'm trying to make the best of it.

As usual, The Way of the Househusband Vol. 8 is split into various adventures. That said, this volume did feel different in that there's a distinct separation between the first and second half of it all.

The first half follows our beloved Tatsu and crew. The second half? Well...it follows the Policure (magical girl) characters and adventures. While I don't mind hearing Miku talk about them, I don't think I needed to see so much of them. I would have preferred more Gin adventures, frankly.

Highlights:
Ex-Yakuza turned Househusband
Comical
Slice-of-life
Adorable Cat side stories
