We Can't Keep Meeting Like This by Rachel Lynn Solomon

Tuve la oportunidad de leer este libro por el evento #25ReadsOfDecember de Riveted de Simon & Schuester.
Otra novela de Rachel Lynn Solomon entre los favoritos! Desde que descubrí a esta autora no podría dejar pasar la oportunidad de leer otro de sus libros. We Can't Keep Meeting Like This no es la excepción.
Quinn y Tarek tienen pasado. Un pasado algo complicado donde un mensaje no fue respondido y pues, ahí quedaron las cosas y hasta ahí nadamas. Se vuelven a topar por cuestiones del destino y la convivencia se ve de nuevo floreciendo a algo más (tal vez?) pero algo que me gustó muchísimo de esta lectura es lo diferente que se manejan los sentimientos.
Hay una distinción muy clara en como Tarek y Quinn experimentan sus sentimientos, no solo en el entre ellos si no como una vista general. Fue refrescante ver esta otra perspectiva.
A pesar de que al inicio sentí muy pesimista a Quinn, conforme avanzó la historia, sentí como poco a poco entendía la perspectiva de Quinn. No es que sea pesimista, es que ella contaba con varias cosas en su pasado que la hicieron abstenerse de muchas cosas. Y a pesar de eso, y con ello también, aprendió.
De igual manera, el trasfondo de Tarek fue sorprendente, entendí mucho a este personaje en ciertas conversaciones que me termino encantando lo tridimensional que él y el resto de los personajes son.
De verdad que soy super fan de Rachel Lynn Solomon desde que leí The Ex Talk en 2021 y aquí seguiré apoyándola porque además de ser tocayas, sus historias están super padres!! Se los recomiendo muchísimo.

I had the opportunity to read this book as part of the #25ReadsOfDecember event from Riveted by Simon & Schuester.
Another of Rachel Lynn Solomon’s books to the favorite list! Ever since I discovered this author I couldn’t let the opportunity pass to read another of her books. We Can’t Keep Meeting Like This is no exception to my liking.
Quinn and Tarek share a past. A somewhat complicated past where a text wasn’t answered and well, that’s where things were left off and that was it. They run to each other because you know, destiny and their shared time is once again going towards something more (maybe?) but something I really got out of this read was how feelings are handled.
There is a very clear distinction between how Tarek and Quinn feel their feelings, not just between them but in a more general scope. It was refreshing this new perspective.
Despite that in the beginning I felt Quinn somewhere on the pessimist side, as the story progressed, I felt this understanding come to be on her. It’s not that she’s a pessimist, its that she had some things happen in her past that made her step back from a lot of things and experiences. And despite this, and with it, she learned.
Just the same, Tarek’s background was equally amazing. I got to know this character a lot more in some specific conversations and I was truly shocked at how deep he and the rest of the characters are.
Truly I am a fan of Rachel Lynn Solomon ever since I read The Ex Talk in 2021 and here I will stand by her because besides sharing our first name, her stories are amazing! An overall great recommendation to you.
