My Rating: ❤️❤️❤️❤️

General Thoughts: To Catch a Raven by Beverly Jenkins is a favorite of mine, so I've been slowly working my way through the rest of Jenkins's books. This is the fourth of hers I've read. To Catch a Raven was my first and my favorite still, but I've enjoyed every other one I've read.

Beverly creates memorable characters that you can't help but root for and fall in love with. I love the way she weaves in history (some less known to many) in her stories. I always walk away having learned something I hadn't known before and I love that! It's never heavy-handed. I am very intrigued to read the rest of this series about the Le Veq family since I've seen them come up in quite a few books now, including To Catch a Raven.

Spice Meter: ❤️‍🔥.5 Spicy but not the most graphic. It's there though.
