Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia

i am really conflicted. i liked the anxiety and ptsd representation, i think they were done very well, and i liked the love story, as well as the love interest. the story itself is not one that many would consider gripping, but i was really into it and i finished the book in almost one sitting.
i started having some issues when the kind-of-plot-twist happened. i think the way the love interest reacted to it was absolutely awful. i understand the author maybe wanted to portray the protagonists as real teenagers with human flaws but i feel like this could have been avoided because it was so out of character for him.
i enjoyed the story nonetheless but i don’t really think it’s that memorable; i had very high expectations because this has been so hyped up and it didn’t hold up to them, but i still liked it.
