A Runner's High: My Life in Motion
by Dean Karnazes
As a runner, books by prominent runners who cover distances far greater than I will ever attempt are often motivational. And while this book did give me a boost for my daily miles, I can't recommend. It is no surprise that someone capable of seemingly superhuman feats would also have a healthy ego, but it does not make for an enjoyable book. When Karnazes seems shocked and disappointed that the pandemic would force the cancelation of ultras (seemingly oblivious to the illness, death, job losses, etc... unfolding worldwide) it's too much to take.
