A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

5.0

I have to thank my #bookstagram buddies for guiding me to this book. I would have passed based on the cover ("Girl Kills Snake and Raven, Makes Fancy Clothes for Walk in a Forest Fire"). But after seeing it pop up in my Instagram feed over and over, I decided to give it a shot. AND IT'S SO GOOD.

A Court of Thorns and Roses is a mash-up of Beauty & the Beast and Tamlin, two of my favourite fairy tales. GOOD START, book, but don't f*ck it up!

Feyre's family has fallen from wealth to poverty, and she supports them by hunting. She taught herself to hunt. She is a badass, and she spends zero time with self-pity even though her family is made up of assholes.
