Have you ever been absolutely giddy after reading a really good book? Well, I was after reading this one. It read like my favorite '90s/2000s slasher movie, and the twist is brilliantly placed. The best way to summarize it: At around the age of 11, two kids, Kansas and Eisley, escape a religious cult, and ten years later, when least expected, a serial killer is on the loose in the same town.

This is a fast-paced horror romance, perfect for spooky season. It’s well-written, with the spice, plot, and gore all equally balanced. 10 out of 10, would recommend.
