beautiful book that captures the strengths and weaknesses of a generation that witness resistance and forms of activism that were both valid and performative. the intensity of growing past those times, how one handles the guilt or insufferability of the past was explored so beautifully through and through. very thoughtful, very nuanced. the slowness of the novel allows you to really insert yourself in the mindset of each character as they interact with one another.
