Eldest is my favorite book in the series so far. I really enjoyed Roran’s whole storyline — how he steps up as a leader, leads his people, and takes down the Twins. The parts with the elves were also great, with Eragon traveling to train, learning more about magic and combat. The Battle of the Burning Plains was epic, even if the reveal that Eragon and Murtagh are brothers was pretty predictable. What I loved the most was how Roran’s story was woven into everything; it really made the book for me. Overall, I was hooked from start to finish.
