Capturing the Devil, final book in Stalking Jack The Ripper series.
Audrey Rose and Thomas arrive in America, New York and Chicago. A dark contrast to London. Where they quickly find themselves investigating unsolved murders and missing person.
I absolutely love Audrey Rose’s character. She has so much depth to her and is very ahead of her time. Her passion is palpable and I love her dark humor and sense. Seeing Audrey Rose come more into her own and her increased confidence.
Audrey Rose works along Thomas as a medical coroner. I love the witty banter and swoony moments. Thomas is supportive of Audrey Rose and her endeavors to become a Medical Coroner.
The first half of this book was a five star and then I got upset with a plot twist halfway through.
I was in this one for the vibes and not so much the unsolved mystery, as much as in the previous books and details.
Kerri’s writing is very beautiful and detailed. True to the era (1989) of this book.
