I may be biased, but Silas' story is a story I resonate deeply with, as an autistic, closeted trans man. Though it may be in a historical fantasy Victorian setting, everything written was so real. I could not put this book down, and I'm definitely checking out Andrew Joseph White's other works.
Graphic: Ableism, Deadnaming, Misogyny, Transphobia, Forced institutionalization, Medical content
Moderate: Abortion, Lesbophobia
Minor: Miscarriage
It is important to read the Letter from the Author in the front of the book - it also goes over content warnings.
