This was such a cute book and a very enjoyable read. I would have loved to see a more diverse plotline as it seemed somewhat repetitive but otherwise, I enjoyed the way the characters interacted with each other. I especially enjoyed the "real-life parts" of the book over the "inside the story" because it showcased what it's like for a quiet girl to grow up and find friends in non-conventional places. The author knowing about the book's 'realness' (its connection to her son) was very sweet and a nice touch.
