Fictionalized account drawing heavily on Pavichenko’s real life as a Russian sniper in WW II. I adore how Kate Quinn can spin multiple character lines together, twining together events in a way that creates a solid plot knot at the climax.

Narration by Saskia Maarleveld is also excellent. She brings each character to life, with their own pace, accents, and intonations. A very easy and fulfilling listening experience.
