So Much Closer by Susane Colasanti

3.0

So this would be the third book I’ve read by Susane Colasanti. The style is the same though I must say I really disliked certain things about the plot.

First of all, I find it extremely hard to believe that someone would move to a whole different city in her senior year just for a boy whom she had never met. I mean, maybe it wasn’t all about him but who would actually move in their senior year? Very unrealistic and unbelievable for me.

Second, her so called close friends from back home was just a big lie. How can a friendship get ruined so much? I mean, they were never real friends and in the end the main character didn’t care much. That’s not real to me. She should have been way more hurt.

Third, I hated the fact that I could relate to many things. Ok, this is not necessarily a bad thing but it made me mad because timing is everything, right?

Overall I loved my favorite characters were John and Sadie.

I give it a 6/10.

To conclude I leave you with the ending quote of the book

“One of the most amazing things that can happen is finding someone who sees everything you are and won’t let you be anything less. They see the potential of you. They see endless possibilities. And through their eyes, you start to see yourself in the same way. As someone who matters. As someone who can make a difference in this world. If you’re lucky enough to find that person, never let him go”
