AUTISM. My heart broke a little every time Keiko said something about needing to be cured. Glad this book is a flat arc—Keiko realizing that she was happiest at the beginning of the novel—I think there’s too few of them out there. This is not a loveable book, but I hope it’s readers will be able recognize, after reading it, how painful a concept being “normal” is to anyone who isn’t.
Graphic: Ableism, Toxic relationship, and Bullying
Moderate: Stalking and Animal death
