It reminded me a bit of that movie a couple of years back in which a young woman finds the truth about her village and how the elders have made up a monsterous lie to keep them safe from the real world.
But Sennen is better than that movie because it takes the same idea but makes it about classism and corporate dictatorship and it does so by focusing on the emotional and psychological effects of realising that truth.
The downside is that it feels like it's only the first chapter of that story. Because finding out about the truth is one thing, how to live with it is a whole other one.
