Listen For The Lie by Amy Tintera

2.75

This had such a promising start…which made the ending all that more disappointing.

The pacing of this was great until the end, I was intrigued and wanted to see if my theories were correct. The ending came out of nowhere and the whole
amnesia storyline was so built up that it was not believable when suddenly after five years, all it took was her revisiting the wedding venue/having a conversation with Matt (who was literally been her husband at the time of the incident??) for her memories to come rushing back and lead to that rushed ending.

I correctly guessed who was responsible, but the reasons behind it were nowhere near as exciting as the ones I’d cooked up in my head 😂

It felt a bit forced and actually none of the characters in this are nice or likeable. Except maybe the grandma.
