I loved the plot/ lack of. It was so well written and emotionally charged. I was a bit apprehensive about reading this because it is my first Sally Rooney book and I thought the lack of speech marks would make it hard to differentiate the different voices (especially as someone who struggles to remember characters names) but it was actually very easy to understand. The characters had such depth, they felt like my friends I was rooting for them the entire book. It was just so good.
Graphic: Domestic abuse, Emotional abuse, Physical abuse
Moderate: Mental illness, Suicidal thoughts, Suicide
Set in Ireland, they briefly talk about some of the political parties there
