I am a little tired of werewolves. And vampires. And witches, oh my! So I was not very enthusiastic when I picked up this book on a friend's recommendation. I ended up devouring the entire series in a week because I was so hooked. Mercy is strong (but not too strong) and smart (but not too smart) with supernatural powers (but not too super). She feels like a real person, despite all the extras, and that is why I enjoyed this book a lot more than some of the other urban fantasy/paranormal romance that is floating around. Give it (and the rest of the series) a try.--Rebekka
