The Book of Peril by Melissa McShane

3.0

I absolutely adore Melissa’s books and this one is definitely no exception. We’re thrown back into this incredible world, I mean we have books that tell the future and librarians who help run the bookstore that keeps those books! Considering we’re already familiar with this world, this book is less about getting to know it and more about seeing Helena dealing with this new life a couple of months after she became the custodian and while we don’t have the typical getting to know the world part of the book, we do see a little more from it, which is always interesting. We also see Helena growing more as a person and becoming even more amazing and while the end was definitely more on the sad side, I liked the decision she made in the end. While this definitely could be a good place for the series to end, I hope there are more books (or at least another one) because I definitely enjoy this series.

*i received a copy of this book from the author, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
